The Week In Finn (August 3, 2008)
Once more we went down to Ocean City, NJ for a week of relaxation. Finn comes down to check out the beach which has been rebuilt over the winter, pumping in sand from the ocean. Dirty sand.
The week started off well enough with Tom's birthday celebration.
Kim is introduced by Finn to the joys of the movie "Cars".
Finn learns all about jigsaw puzzles.
And then Finn cracks his head open and ends up in the emergency room.
He's very patient as we wait for the plastic surgeon to stitch him back together. But she tells him he should not go to the beach any more this week (we have another 6 days at this beach side town).
So we try some other beachside activities. Finn tries some post accident ice-cream. Pink flavor.
Finn and mommy take a well earned post accident nap.
To celebrate Tom and Pat's birthdays, Tom, Jenny, Lisa and Pat go to dinner at Buddakan in Atlantic City. [Buddakan secret: the AC one is the best one]
Blurry Pat and Lisa chow down. Mmmmm.
Then all of a sudden a fire alarm! We evacuate on to the board walk with drinks in hand.
Finn and Tom take a well earned nap.
Finally Finn get's to the beach in his swim gear.
But he's all wrapped up with band-aids and a reluctantly worn hat.
Soon he's in the swing of it though.
The hat is almost a fashion statement.
The bandages...not so much.
Jay and Finn also tried some virtual sand action.
This little fake beach is in a mall high above the real Atlantic City beach.
And then uncle Pat arrives.
Everyone loves uncle Pat.
Finn passes out in the stroller. New scar over his eye in full display. Another well earned nap.
