Finn Blaxland

The Week in Finn (November 18, 2006)

We promised more turtle...and now we deliver. Finn dressed up as a turtle for Halloween and with his classmates painted the town green and blue. Note the turtle pout.

There really are not enough clothing options with bug eyes on them.

Off to the races (pun intended).

Though Fall is in the air, Finn still enjoys getting out to the park and having some fun. We have a great park near us with all kinds of dangerous diversions for him to smack his head into.

Just hanging around.

Often when tired of the swings and slides, Finn prefers to play with the wood chips that make for his soft landings.

Overhead view of what happens when you give a one year old pasta and a spoon. We are very thankful to have hard wood floors which are easy to clean.

Recently Finn and his dad went to check out a regional Ultimate Frisbee tournament. We knew some of the contenders and learned a lot about the game and the skills involved.

Here is Finn checking out the action at the other end of the field. A beautiful Fall day in the shire.

Here is Finn (in full winter jacket mode) smiling for the camera.

Here is Finn moving the goal posts, just to keep things a little interesting.

Every once in a while, Finn needs a trim. While we are always sad to see his golden locks get clipped, Junior Stylist Tom tries to use the correct tools of the trade to keep things beautiful. Seems to have gone well the first three times. We expect a disaster cut at some point though.

Finn seems to be pretty brave. Shown here back in the park on a colder day, he has scaled the big kids set to a point about 7 feet off the ground.

And then presumably without his mothers permission, he decides to try out the seven foot high slide. Luckily he succeeds with a little help from the parentals.

Photography Notes

Once Halloween hits we know Fall is here. The colors on the trees are changing and the days are getting cooler. Thanksgiving is around the corner and Finn is ready with his cold weather attire and his heat seaters.
